hexagons go awry on w20color

On w20color, the hexagon cover sheet prints incorrectly.
Instead of printing as hexagons, e.g.:

/ \
\ /
\ /
------
Instead they print more like:
------ /
/ /
_____\/ \/
/\ /\
\ \
------ \
Kind of weird. I worry that other postscript could go awry?
