I'm the Athena acroread maintainer- it works for me... I'd try this on
another machine; if it works there, it's most likely that something is
misconfigured on your computer. I presume you launched acroread by
typing "acroread" (without the quotes) at the Athena prompt?
You can also try typing "which acroread"- this should return
/usr/athena/bin/acroread; if it prints something else, again it's likely
that something is misconfigured.
Athena Consulting can help you with problems like this- you can reach them
by typing "olc" (without the quotes) at the Athena prompt.
