It's certainly possible to work around it, it's just the
surprise/confusion that got me.
A side effect is that makewhatis (run from cron) can't see those
man pages, so "man -k" won't ever retrieve a psutils man page,
though it will retrieve man pages for everything else in
/usr/athena/man. This is another confusion issue.
