Hi,
I often find mtr (http://www.bitwizard.nl/mtr/), which "combines the
functionality of the 'traceroute' and 'ping' programs in a single network
diagnostic tool" helpful.
I was in the process of installing it into a locker before realizing that
it needs to be run setuid.
Would it be possible to install mtr in a future Athena release?
/afs/athena.mit.edu/system/rhlinux/rhel-4/RedHat/RPMS/mtr-0.54-10.i386.rpm
has an older version of the rpm. (There's also mtr-gtk-0.54-10.i386.rpm,
though I haven't used the gtk version before.)
The current version is 0.72 -- I haven't used 0.54, so I don't know what
the difference is. mtr is also installed by default in Debian and Ubuntu.
