Hello,

A user reported to OLC today that the problem in bugs[26807] still exists.
The 9.4.27 release announcement indicated that the problem should have
been fixed.

The symptoms:

Using bash, if you change directories and use the gnome terminal menu to
open up a new terminal or a new tab, $HOME is set to your changed
directory, and not your homedir. As a result, .bashrc.mine is not read.
This does not happen if you open a new xterm from the Athena prompt - it's
only a problem if you use the gnome terminal menu.

The user noticed the problem on m12-182-10, and I verified it on dewey -
both are running 9.4.27.

Could somebody please take a look at this?

Thanks,

Erica
