What were you trying to do?
When I arrived at the cluster, I found three machines unable to
reboot. The final line on the screen read 'umount: /usr/vice/cache
device is busy'. I'm sure you're aware that this has been happening
all around campus, though I haven't seen a formal bug report of it yet.
The three machines I saw this time were m56-129-16, -18, -19. They are all
new HP's, but this has also happened on my own machine. When it happened
on my own machine, I had simply tried to reboot, but I wasn't successful.
The only solution (after waiting around a long time) was to pull out the
plug.
