bart-savagewood was found displaying a black screen with only a window:
[!] You have no authentication. Select "Renew Authentication"
from the Athean "Utilities" menu to re-authenticate.
[OK]
and showing no mouse pointer nor accepting keyboard input.
Presumably authwatch popped up this window over screensaver.
Logging in remotely and killing xscreensaver, authwatch then accepts
input.
Not sure what went wrong of it its repeatable.
