Hi,
You report to bugs:

I noticed that I too have such files, but after deleting them and running
acroread again I don't seem to be able to generate any new ones despite
opening multiple pdf files.
Are you sure this is coming from acroread, and can you create these
reproducibly, for any pdf file?
I note that you are runnning Athena 9.4.10; all my machines are at 9.4.12.
Can you try on a 9.4.12 machine and see if you still get these?
Thanks,
Alex Prengel
