What were you trying to do?
Open .pdf files in acroread.

What's wrong:
Files open fine, but after I quit, the program leaves behind files
with names of the form ".__afsXXXX" in my home directory, which I
then have to manually delete.

What should have happened:
These files should not have been left there after the program exits.
