Is one of these from minsley? We got that report about 2 weeks ago (and
weren't able to reproduce or solve it); jdreed suggested he work with
OLC...
It seems to be looking for Toolboxes that aren't installed on Athena (and
never have been).
This is baffling and at the moment we don't know why it's happening- we,
like you, can't reproduce it. I'm handing it off to Daniel Jamous who
works on our math software support issues.
If there's anything you can do to determine if it's user-related or
machine-related, that would help a lot- for example, do users having the
problem experience it on every machine, or just on certain ones? Does
it happen on every launch, or intermittently? As far as I know, all local
Matlab config files are in user's ~/.matlab directories; does renaming or
deleting it affect the problem? Can you check right after running
Matlab if it creates or touches any files in a user's home directory not
in ~/.matlab? If they log in without customizations, does that change
anything? Anyhow, you get the idea...
Whatevever it is seems to involve the Matlab path- try setting it back to the
default (defined in distrib/toolbox/local/pathdef.m), to see if that helps.
