What were you trying to do?
Load/run matlab.
What's wrong:
Matlab begins to load, opens its own terminal, displays the
splash screen, then stops. It does not respond to signal 15,
and must be killed forcefully. This problem did not occur
running the SMP kernel included with athena 9.2.27, and does
not occur when running with the uniprocessor kernel under
9.3.16. I have not seen this occur with any other applications
to date.
What should have happened:
matlab should have loaded ;)
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
none. Let me know if you need conffiles or system logs from
me. It might also be noted that the machine is dual AMD Opteron
running 32-bit athena, and not intel.
