i just did another pick through my inbox.  at the close of the
pick, i have no sequences at all, and ~/Mail/inbox/.mh_sequences
has only the ``cur: 1234'' entry in it.  i _lost_ the 8 sequences
that were previously there.  

two were hand-crafted; this is annoying.
