I don't see the problem- when I print using dup4 (from the save
locker), the initial printer dialog appears in front of the main
acroread window; when I enter dup4 as my printer and click OK, I get a
printing page... progress dialog, also in front of the acroread
window. Finally, when it finishes, I get some dialog from dup4 about
"SETUP SAVE commands are not supported on Athena...", also in
front. The document prints normally.

Have you tried asking the Athena consultants for help? Maybe there's part
of this I don't understand... or this may be due to something in your
configuration dotfiles.
