When I logged back in, I got a popup dialog saying "No panels were found
in your configuration. I will create a menu panel for you." After clicking
OK, nothing obviously changed. I still have the funny, different set of
menus I was seeing at the top of the screen. Nothing at the bottom. I get
an initial terminal with pale yellow background and no visible prompt inside.
It seems to recognize keystrokes because I typed "logout" in it and I got
logged out.
When I log back in, I get almost the same thing, including the
"No panels found..." dialog. But now I can see an Athena prompt
inside the pale yellow background terminal... same weird menus at
the top, keys still don't autorepeat.
