What were you trying to do?
I saw that there was now an option in evolution for encrypting with SSL (in previous releases of Athena, this was specifically not built). I decided I liked the security, so I encrypted with SSL.

What's wrong:
When I saved the settings to encrypt with SSL, evolution segfaulted. It then proceeded to segfault every time I tried to run it. The only solution I could find was to use gconf-editor to delete the entry 'use_ssl=always' from my configuration file. The entry itself was not the simplest to understand, as it seemed like an entire XML file in place of a single string (it would be simpler to have many individual strings instead of one long convoluted one).

What should have happened:
Either SSL should be built into Evolution (optimal), or the option to use it should be turned off again (easiest). Either way, it should not be possible to simply select a setting that will cause a program to cease to function permanently unless you manually edit a file that is barely readable.
