linux 9.2.10: spurious entries in gnome control center

The gnome control center "preferences" window (reached via the
panel "menu" => "settings" => "GNOME Control Center") has
two entries in it labeled "control center" which just seem
to open another control center preferences dialog that is identical
to the currently open one.
Removing these two entries and moving the two listings under
"more preferences" ("cd database" and "panel") to the "preferences"
window if possible, seems like it would make things less confusing
for users.
