linux 9.2.9: xmms listed under 'mp3 players' in gnome-panel

The gnome-panel has xmms listed under "mp3 players" under
the audio selection. xmms of course simply pops up a dialog
saying "redhat has removed mp3/mpeg-2 support due to licensing
issues".
If we're not going to have xmms able to play mp3s, then listing it
under mp3 players in gnome panel is really just confusing users.
