Hi, you report:

Sorry it took a while to get back to you on this- I was away at a
conference. I can't reproduce this problem- printing works fine on
machines I have access to. There is one circumstance that might
explain this- Star Office requires that the $PRINTER environment
variable be defined as your local printer in order to print- are you
sure this is the case on the machine you were on? To check it's value,
type
echo $PRINTER
at the Athena prompt. It should print the name of the printer you are using.
If it is set to the right printer, I'm not sure what might be happening-
answers to the following may help me figure it out:
1. does this only happen on one machine, or on other machines too?
2. does it happen for you on Suns in addition to Linux machines?
3. if another user logs into the machine you had the problem on, does
it happen for them too?
You may be able to get faster help with problems like this if you contact
the Athena consultants first- you can reach them by typing olc at the
Athena prompt.
