Subject: Awkward Situation
Hi there,
While installing Linux-Athena on two new computers I recently purchased
for my research group, a very strange thing happened:
Both workstations use MSI MS-6378 all-in-one motherboard, integrated
thereof are video adapter, ethernet card and sound card.
On one machine, linux automatically detected a Realtek RTL8129 10/100
BaseT Ethernet Adapter, and continue the installation with no hassel. On
the other one (note that it has exactly the same integrated motherboard),
however, it wouldn't accept the Realtek RTL8129 ethernet card, even if
manually selected.
Has anybody run into similar situations before?
Thanks!
Richard
