The default tab stops for xterm(emacs) and xmh do not seem to agree.
xterm seems to have its initial tab stop at column 9 and subsequent
tab stops at every 8 columns. xmh seems to have its initial tab stop
at column 6 and then every 8 afterwards. I assume there is a way to
set these, but I have not found it. In any case, it seems that they
should default to the same settings.
