OLC currently recommends using 'dvips -Ppdf' to create a postscript file
that will play nicely with distill from a DVI file. This does not work
on the dialups, since there is no lpd running (presumably for security
reasons?). In any case, this makes it very difficult (at times
impossible) to convert a DVI into a PDF without going to campus.
