What were you trying to do?
     Use the dialup machines

What's wrong:
Starting sometime this summer, I am getting logged out of the dialups
without warning. I think it has always been when using emacs, but I am
using emacs 90% of the time anyway. It has happened perhaps 6 times
total. I suspect it has only happened after the upgrade to 9.0.
Most recently, the error message was as follows; this was a
       typical message:

       Fatal error (1).[1] + Hangup
/var/tmp/.netscape-cache-blout: No such file or directory
[Connection to athena closed by foreign host]

(The /var/tmp line is a bug in my .logout file.)

What should have happened:
I shouldn't have been logged out!
