OK, I've adjusted the xmit locker to spew the same message for xinfo on
i386_linux24 now. I'm not clear where anybody would be stumbling on
xinfo from now, but I'm inclined to leave the message as is, with its
suggestive 1997 date; if it's disappeared from the release at some point
we won't send out a search party.
