I noticed tar logging errors on one of the W20 quickstations on my way home
today. My classic is doing it too. The tarfile in AFS that gets copied by
local-menus is corrupt, and all the workstations are falling back on the slow
AFS copy of the menus and logging this to the console every time reactivate
runs:
tar: directory checksum error
If possible, could we skip the overnight wait and propagate a non-corrupt
tarball soon to stop the errors and speed panel back up?
