System name: x15-cruise-basselope.mit.edu
Type and version:	Ultra-5_10 9.0.3 (with mkserv)
Display type: afb

Shell: /bin/athena/tcsh
Window manager: sawfish

What were you trying to do?
Log in for the first time on an athena 9.0 workstation

What's wrong:
I logged in to be greeted with a message popup stating that the
gnome application "panel" has produced a segmentation violation.
There was also a grey bar on the bottom of my screen that was not
refreshing. After clicking the button on the popup, the grey bar on
the bottom of the screen refreshed and I was greeted with another
segmentation violation popup for something like "gnome-task-applet".
I logged out and logged in again without reproducing the problem. I
also then removed my ~/.gnome* files and logged in again without
reproducing the problem.

What should have happened:
I assume segmentation violations should not occur under normal
use.
