System name: fucking-lunatic.grey17.org
Type and version:	i686 8.4.22 (with mkserv)
Display type: XFree86 3.3.6 SVGA

Shell: /bin/athena/tcsh
Window manager: /afs/athena/project/windowmgr/bin/vtwm.gamma

What were you trying to do?
Log in to a Linux/Athena machine on the console.

What's wrong:
When using bash, only 24 lines of the screen are used.
(Additionally, this can lead to bizarre redraw problems
	in emacs.)

Typing 'resize' causes all 25 lines to be used.

Login to an account using csh or tcsh does not exhibit
	this problem.

What should have happened:
All 25 lines of the screen should be used.
