I just saw another user crash a cluster linux machine by incorporating
mail on it. When I looked at it, no mouse cursor was visible, and
there was no response from the keyboard. I reset the machine with the
power button.

She successfully incorporated the mail on another machine.

Is there anything I can do to get useful debugging information next
time? This seems like a bug we won't fix without a crash dump, but I
don't know if there's a linux mechanism for this that which we can
enable.
