First off, note that using Netscape to check MIT mail is not officially
recommended because it's fairly buggy.
That said, I will have to check on this - this is not one of the problems
we habitually see, this is a real and genuine error condition. Can you
check your mail normally with non-netscape mail handlers, such as the mh
system, or the inc-aware version of pine? In general if netscape-movemail
gives you this error, other mail handlers we use will give you an error as
well.
Also, do you actually get any new mail in your Netscape inbox when this
happens, or just the error?
