When netscape launches realplay, an "Internet Electronic registration
card" window comes up. Cancel this and the app runs fine, but the
window comes up at each successive launch; looks like it won't actually
go away unless one feeds it an email address. This happened on both sun
and linux, from a clean test account running default netscape; on the
sun, I tried netscape-4.73 as well, same behavior. (On the SGI, it
brings up an accept/decline license agreement window instead, which
doesn't return on successive launches.)
Also, it looks like it's configured as just "realplay %s" instead of
with an /mit/infoagents path; it won't be found in some cases, e.g.
when using the local copy of netscape, or using athrun.
