Can you verify which xscreensaver binary you were using?  In Athena
8.3.25 there is an xscreensaver in the sipb locker, an xss in the
Athena release, and an xscreensaver installed on the machine.  The
last of these should not have been installed and is gone away in
8.3.26.  

It is also the case that the xscreensaver in the sipb locker does not
necessarily know your Kerberos password; it tries to find it in
/etc/passwd but if shadow passwords are in use (as they are in Linux)
then it might not be able to successfully find it.

Yeah, it's a low priority issue, but we do intend to make these
potentially confusing messages go away.
