What were you trying to do?
I wanted to convert a matlab movie file to an mpeg-file. The consultants
told be to use the 'mpgread' and 'mpgwrite' files that are available in
the locker '/mit/matlab/current/distrib/toolbox/contrib/graphics'.
What's wrong:
Matlab changed the way to store movie files in the new version 5.3.
Therefore these 'mpgread' and 'mpgwrite' files do not work anymore for
the new version.
What should have happened:
I contacted Mathworks and asked them about that. They sent me the
following answer:
The files have been updated and are now compatible with MATLAB 5.3 You just
need to download them again and replace your existing MPGREAD and MPGWRITE.
I suggest that you replace the 'mpgread' and 'mpgwrite' files in the
locker 'software/matlab_v5.3/distrib/toolbox/contrib/graphics' with the
new versions from their website.
The consultants told me I should contact you and ask you to do that.
I would appreciate if you could tell me when the new versions are
available. Thanks a lot!
