This bug will be fixed in the next patch release, which goes out
Monday. In the mean time, you can run dvips from the newtex locker.
Probably the best way to run it is as:
(add -f newtex; dvips -o rt.ps rt.dvi)
The parens are there so the add command only affects that one command;
otherwise you'll also start running latex from the newtex locker,
which might not cause a problem but would unnecessarily change things.
