I just tried what you suggested:
% xss-button -logFile /dev/null&
[3] 72946
and then locked the screen. I still get:
% /usr/athena/bin/xss-command: activating and locking.
Is it possible the program is compiled with some
additional debuggin flags which are causing this
verbose logging?
