and talked to Frame tech support about it. They said to load it into
Photoshop and resave it under a different name. I did this and the
copy worked fine. (It was different but I don't know what
changed). Photoshop didn't complain. (Neither did xv or Applixware).

They said that it was probably corrupted in some way and didn't seem
very interested in pursuing it further. I said that even a corrupted
file shouldn't crash it; that it should test for file integrity first
and print an error dialog if bad. They took this as a feature
request... I think that's about as far as we're going to get with
this...
