System name: w20-575-92.mit.edu
Type and version:	SPARC/5 8.2.15
Display type: cgsix

What were you trying to do?
	Import /mit/howardk/Public/c3mess.gif as a graphic in FrameMaker;
selecting File/Import and entering the file causes framemaker to crash
and dump core.

What's wrong:
Framemaker shouldn't dump core. It also shouldn't do so silently.
With the default user configuration (coredumpsize limited), it doesn't
even say "Segmentation violation". It just exits with all windows closing
and no message displayed.

What should have happened:
	It shouldn't have crashed.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:
Openning the graphic in xv and saving it again seems to solve
the problem. I had no problems reproducing it.
Here's a stack trace from the core dump.

athena% file /var/tmp/core
/var/tmp/core: ELF 32-bit MSB core file SPARC Version 1, from 'maker5X.exe'

It'd be nice if someone could bring this up with Frame. I asked the
user to keep the image in his Public directory for a while.
