Unfortunately, we don't have a good way of updating one service in
inetd.conf without replacing the whole thing right now.
Fortunately, new with 8.2 there is an option to mkserv remote to
disallow passwords in the clear. If you want to enable this on a
machine that is already mkserv remote, simply log in as root and
re-run mkserv remote, answer the new questions, reboot, and you should
be all set. This has the advantages that it affecte all inetd
services, not just telnetd, and that mkserv should prexserve it
regardless of what the release does.
