What were you trying to do?
figure out why access_off didn't work
What went wrong?
If you change a service from unswitched to switched in
inetd.conf, and then HUP inetd, it does not appear to
notice the change.
What should have happened?
inetd should have noticed that the service is now switched
and shut it off when access_off is run (or immediately when
HUPped if inetd was not run with the -n flag.
Yo, got any documentation, or other info?
I've seen this bug on an 8.2 sun and SGI indy, I have not
tested it on an O2.
