If you use "-a valid" it won't ask for a password and therefore won't
get the user kerberos tickets unless they use krb5 ticket forwarding.
I'll look at trying to fix the behavior you noted. But it might not be
possible to do so without breaking something else: the telnet
authentication and encryption code is rather like a badly done
wallpapering job--if you push the bubbles down in one place, they just
pop up somewhere else.
