Hi Jesse,
I took a look at your bug report and it's a bit puzzling- matlab -ver 5.1
and -ver 5.2 both work fine for me on the two Linux-Athena machines I
have access to; also, to the best of my knowledge, nothing has changed in the
Matlab 5.1 locker for the last month at least- 5.2 is new; it was just
installed last week; however it is independent of the 5.1 installation
and should not be affecting it in any way.
The only thing I can think of is that it looks like you might have a
very recent CPU, that might not be compatible with older Matlab
releases, though I have no idea why Matlab 5.1 might have been working
a week ago but not now. Perhaps something else in your environment
has changed?
If you want to pursue this further please send mail to
linux-help@mit.edu- that mailing list is for getting assistance with
Linux-Athena software. At least it looks like you can use release 5.2 as a
work-around.
