What were you trying to do?
Use the `-m' flag to attack to explicitly state the mountpoint, as
documented in attach(1).
What went wrong?
; attach -h -n -t afs -e /afs/zone.mit.edu/test/emacs-20 -m /mit/emacs
attach: /afs/zone.mit.edu/test/emacs-20 linked to /mit/emacs-20 for filesystem /afs/zone.mit.edu/test/emacs-20
Note how it thoughtfully linked /afs/zone.mit.edu/test/emacs-20 to
/mit/emacs-20, in spite of what I asked it to do.
What should have happened?
It should have instead thoughtfully linked
/afs/zone.mit.edu/test/emacs-20 to /mit/emacs, as I asked it to do.
There was nothing mounted on /mit/emacs at the time. I tried this
on snorkelwhacker and Mark-kay-commandos, NetBSD and solaris
machines in the sipb office.
