What were you trying to do?
Use rsh to log in as root. Ie rsh lees4 -l root
It used to work fairly recently.
What's wrong:
I get the following error:
klogind: User karen@ATHENA.MIT.EDU is not authorized to log into account root.
rlogin: Kerberos rcmd failed: rcmd protocol failure.
What should have happened:
I should have been able to log in properly as root
Please describe any relevant documentation references:
My /.klogin file has not changed in a year, and I'm in the file as
karen@ATHENA.MIT.EDU. I know it worked in December (verified from
the sulog). I also know that the srvtab files have not changed in
quite a while (> one year)
What has the last release done to kerberized klogin? I thought
kerberos version 5 rsh used .klogin.v5...
