System name: ten-thousand-dollar-bill
Type and version:	SPARC/5 8.0L (1 update(s) to same version)
Display type: cgthree

What were you trying to do?
	Run /usr/sbin/ping

What's wrong:
	I couldn't, because I didn't have the appropriate permissions.

What should have happened:
I should have been able to run the ping command.

Please describe any relevant documentation references:

Are these the correct permissions for ping? Here's the info for one
of the dialup machines:

% uname -a
SunOS ten-thousand-dollar-bill 5.4 Generic_101945-37 sun4m sparc

% ll /usr/sbin/ping
-r-s------ 1 root bin 17968 Jul 15 1994 /usr/sbin/ping*

Here's the info for one of our Solaris machines at my workplace:

% uname -a
SunOS kimzirra 5.4 Generic_101945-50 sun4c sparc

% ll /usr/sbin/ping
-r-sr-xr-x 1 root bin 17968 Jul 15 1994 /usr/sbin/ping*
