Greg,

Thanks for responding, but I may be misunderstanding what you wrote.
If what you're telling me is that adding 'modem' and typing 'kermit'
does the same thing now as typing 'kermit.new' did last year,
I can tell you it's slower, doesn't seem to have sliding windows, and doesn't
let my com program know the file size.  One of the Athena consultants, email
wchuang, let me use the kermit.new he built in his locker, and it worked great.
