System name: m33-220-1
Type and version:	SPARC/4 8.1.7 (with mkserv)
Display type: cgthree

What were you trying to do?
Have my two athena machines m33-220a-1 and this one happily provide tftp
to my dumb terminals.

What's wrong:
The update came in and changed the tftpd call line in
inetd.conf from "unswitched" to "switched". The dumb terminals
don't have the capability to tell the server to please turn on and
start sending them things, all their software sits on the server, it
has to more or less watch for them.

What should have happened:
Since I originally ran mkserv xterm to configure this, the update
to 8.1 should have left that line alone! I understand that very few
people use this particular service and that it is insignificant and
unimportant, however, the least that the athena updates could do is
leave the private machines that have mkserv xterm configured alone when
it goes through and updates. (incidentally the default tftpd call that
is inserted into inetd.conf -- /etc/athena/inetd.conf just to clarify--
is inserted as "switched", from being kindly informed by several staff
members in the past that most of the people that use this service are
using it to serve essentially dumb terminals -- HDS, NCD -- this default
setting is wrong for that kind of xterm, they require an "unswitched"
setting.)
