portnoy's X server appears to have crashed on the morning
of July 24th:

[portnoy!jhawk] /var/tmp# ls -l core.root
-rw-rw---- 1 root root 7417932 Jul 24 09:29 core.root
[portnoy!jhawk] /var/tmp# file core.root
core.root: ELF 32-bit MSB core file SPARC Version 1, from 'Xsun'

adb can't walk past the first stack frame, but gdb produces:

(gdb) where
#0 0xef18b964 in realfree ()
#1 0xef18c110 in _free_unlocked ()
#2 0xef18c044 in free ()
#3 0xee6b504c in free_keysymdb ()

#17 0x22788 in Dispatch ()

Oddly enough, /etc/athena/login/config does not appear to
have the -core option, so I'm surprised the server would
have dumped core.
