For athena machines that allow remote xdm, if a machine is listed
in /etc/athena/xdm/Xaccess (and /var/server/config/Xaccess), but not
in the Xservers file, the machine that is connected cannot logoff.
Ie, you type logout, it destroys your kerberos tickets and then
errors on quitting the xdm process so the X displays and things never
go away. Essentially the only way to effectively log the xterm off
of the host machine is to reboot the xterm. This is non-optimal.
Of course the simple solution is to put the machine into the Xserver
file, but this is also non-optimal since athena is very grabby about
the machines it is told to talk to. My machines perform xdm login to
many different machines and having the athena machine decide it is
supreme ruler of xdm is just not desirable.

If this didn't make sense, feel free to ask, or arrange for a brief
visit and I can show you....
