Subject: Your SAS problem
Hello Michelle,
I received your bug report about SAS on Athena. From your brief
description, my first guess is that you got into a state of mis-matched
quotes, either double or single. In other words, the SAS system thought
that it was reading in a very long string and was looking for the ending
quote. If so, things should work correctly the next time you start up
SAS.
There is a SAS on Athena document available at the Graphic Arts Quick
Copy Center, if you need a simple introduction to SAS in this
environment. In addition, there are a number of SAS manuals on reserve
at the Barker and Hayden libraries as well as at the consultant's
office. (11-115 today, 4-070 as of next week)
