newfs /dev/fd0
yields the error message
newfs: /dev/fd0: can't figure out file system partition
where newfs /dev/fd0a fd1.2m
yields
newfs: warning - actual disk type (fd1200k) differs from one specified (fd1.2m)
and then proceeds to work correctly. The only thing that worries me is that
according to /etc/disktab, these types are the same:
fd1.2m|FD1.2M|fd1200k|FD1200K|IBM high capacity diskette:\
I would look into this, but I have too much to do.
