Then please suggest a more appropriate forum to debate the issue in.
As the release engineer, I am strongly opposed to a change which will
tell users that there is no way for them to get any work done while
their home directory is inaccessible, and I don't think it's
necessarily the prerogative of the mail system operators to make this
decision unilaterally.
