Howdy... I am physically logged into an 8.0 SGI and from there telnetted
to an 8.0 Sun. I had done the correct xhost/setenv DISPLAY commands on
both machines.
When I tried to display a .dvi file from the Sun to the SGI, I received
the following error on the Sun:
Socket I/O possible
and xdvi exited immediately. On the SGI, I got the following error
message:
Xlib: unexpected async reply (sequence 0xcdcd)!
However, using the version of xdvi in the SIPB locker worked. Did
something change in the release which could have caused this?
(This is actually a followup to a user question, where the user was
trying to display a .dvi file from an Athena Sun to a private HP. I
haven't checked it for anything else other than the Athena SGIs,
though).
